HOMO HAPTICUS lecture-performance about the most important sense organ

The lecture-performance HOMO HAPTICUS will be about the sense of touch. Without it, live could not emerge. The sense of touch shows borders of existence, captures three-dimensionality of things, makes proximity perceptible and raises lots of questions: How much distance is healthy? How hurtful can touch be? What goes under the skin? Does a digital world lead to a contact-free society? Especially during the last two years, touch is being debated intensively in the public and experiences new dimensions through topics as #meetoo and the corona pandemic. The six-person collective of missingdots develops a lecture that moves along one’s own physical boundaries and affects personal, biological and social topics. The audience will be integrated into the interdisciplinary performance through interactive elements. There is barrier-free access in the form of audio transcription and sign language translation for the performance.
