‘Missing dots’ is a term used in printer language and means ‘missing halftone dots’.
Missing dots are missing areas in the print where the ink has not been transferred from the wells of the printing form cylinder to the paper or film web. ‘Missing dots’ mainly occur on rough or uneven surfaces of the substrate or on fast-running gravure printing machines.
In our work, we are particularly interested in the missing points on the rough or uneven surfaces of reality and society. Here we research and research, ask questions and question in order to implement the material thus obtained in an interdisciplinary, performative and scenic way.
