Costume and stage design, puppet-making
Born in Greiz/Thüringen, she studied costume and stage design at the University for Fine Arts Dresden (HfbK; Hochschule für bildende Künste Dresden). Afterwards, she was a design assistant at the Neues Theater Halle, at the Deutsches Theater Berlin and the Staatsschaupiel Dresden. Since 2013, Katja Turtl works as an independent puppet-maker, stage and costume designer. Her own work led her to Mannheim, Rostock, Halle and to different theatres in Dresden.
