Fine Arts

Svea Duwe is an independent fine artist living and working in Dresden. As a sculptor her focus lies on installations, performative videos, productions, and sculptural movements in the public space. She also creates photography’s, drawings, sculptures and costumes. Svea Duwe studied sculpting at the Alanus-University for Art and Society (Alanus-Hochschule für Kunst und Gesellschaft) in Alfter near by Bonn and free art at the at the University for Fine Arts Dresden (HfbK; Hochschule für bildende Künste Dresden) and the Statens Kunst Akademi Oslo. She was master-class student of Monika Brandmeier at the HfbK Dresden. Svea Duwe is interested in the ambivalent aspect of our real life. Based on this topic she creates artwork that makes new relations between tensions of space, material, action, and observer.
